AWARD: BEST MOBILE MOVIE AT STOCKHOLM FILMFESTIVAL

A few weeks before the Stockholm International Filmfestival of 2006, I was invited to participate in their new competitive section - Mobile Movies. Ten directors (amongst them - Johan Renck, Martin Kellerman and Malou Schultzberg) were invited by the festival in cooperation with Nokia, to make a short film of a maximum of 15 minutes, using only the new cellphone Nokia N93. We were all given the same theme to work on - "Together" - and around 3 weeks to make the films. I ended up making the film "Varandra, Han & Jag" and I'm happy to announce that it was awarded Best Mobile Movie, at the Stockholm Filmfestival award ceremony on Nov 25, 2006. The jury's motivation:
"The award for best Mobile Movie goes to a confident director who has used the means available in a surprising and daring manner to create a warm and philosophic piece of entertaining animation. True to her vision while working with new technology."

The prize includes a weekend trip for two persons to the Cannes Filmfestival 2007!

I ran Midnattsloppet (The Midnight Run) through the streets of Södermalm in Stockholm. The race is 10 km long, and I think I came in at somewhere around 8000th place.
